We are thrilled about this opportunity to build a nationwide volunteer engagement strategy through the involvement of so many talented volunteers and staff across the country. Thank you for your willingness to help us complete this important work. As members of the Renewal Task Force, we are so pleased to have been asked to lead the development of this strategy to implement recommendation #25 and #26 in the final report of the Task Force . As renewal Task Force members, Marilyn and I reviewed hundreds of submissions from internal stakeholders throughout the renewal consultation process and we were struck by the passion and call to strengthen the volunteer base of the organization. This message reinforced the importance of preserving and growing our grassroots network as the engine and heartbeat of the MS Society which is what distinguishes us from other health and disability charities. We look forward to working with members of the task force and advisory committee as we build a forward thinking and inspirational strategy that will far exceed the minimal standards of Imagine Canada.
